Assabet Valley Chamber of Commerce
The Assabet Valley Chamber of Commerce represents over 500 businesses and nonprofits. While members come from more than 30 communities, the majority come from Berlin, Bolton, Hudson, Maynard, and Stow. Their mission is to represent business, promote and educate our members, and the Assabet Valley Region at-large. Notable events include HudsonFest, MaynardFest, Downtown Trick or Treat, Holiday Stroll, Monthly Events, Coffee Connections, and Ribbon Cuttings. AVCOC offers memberships at all levels including lower cost memberships for small businesses and self-employed professionals.
Hudson Business Association
If you want to know who fills those vacant storefronts helps to maintain the beautiful and aesthetic image of Hudson’s downtown, it is the Hudson Business Association. They work tirelessly to improve the appearance of Hudson’s homey and bustling downtown area, even increasing the area’s foot traffic. Hudson Business Association serves as a resource for the businesses in downtown Hudson and those that may be joining the community by aiding in professional development as well as business retention. By marketing those existing businesses, they not only ensure that Hudson’s high-quality hot spots will stay in business. They also help to expand the downtown’s economic opportunities, all the while promoting cultural resources.
Metrowest Women’s Network
The Metrowest Women’s Network is an excellent opportunity for professional women in the area to network, refer business and support each other. They host networking events for women including wine tastings, fitness, finance and marketing events. MWN supports strong women by bringing them together and maintaining a support group Facebook page. Hudson Historical Society
The Hudson Historical Society was founded in 1916 at the Hudson Public Library. Their mission is to build and strengthen an interest in the town’s history by collecting and preserving objects and conducting research to build on the known history of the town back to its first settlement.
They collect genealogies, writing, and articles whether they be modern or antique as well as numerous other objects for display on the fourth floor of the Hudson Mill Business Center for anyone to come and enjoy.
Take an afternoon off to support the Hudson Historical society, all the while learning more about the history of your town.
Hudson Rotary Club
The Hudson Rotary Club, founded in 1923, meets on Tuesday evenings from 6-7pm at the Hudson Portuguese Club for fellowship, education, and service. The club’s major fundraisers are the Lucky Duck Race in June and the Spirit of Hudson Food and Brewfest in August. The Hudson Rotary Club has used their fundraising to support the construction of the Paul Cellucci Memorial, Hudson 150 Fireworks, and local and international organizations such as the Rivers Edge Arts Alliance, Bridges to Malawi, and much more.
The Rotary Club is part of a national and international organization that helps to fund projects around the world. The mission of Rotary International is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
